Gu All Over


Good Shi* for distance running. It's basically sugar. Because after 40 minutes of running your glycogen stores start dropping. So you do a hit of Gu and you're back in business. If it hadn't been for this crap, I wouldn't have kicked ass at the half in March. I mean, it's no Sangria, but...
Seriously, I don't know how the hell my dad did ultra long runs back in the '80s with out this stuff. It is such a great pick me up at mile 4. I've got one complaint though...

They make Gu
They make Gu with Electrolytes
They make Gu with Caffeine
The chocolate Gu is like a liquid brownie...

But what they should make is Gu with Morphine
